Game of Thrones, Avengers Endgame lead as MTV releases 2019 awards nomination

Popular American series “Game of Thrones,” and “Avengers: Endgame” are tied for the most nominations at the 2019 MTV Movie and TV Awards with each nominated four times.
        The final season of “Game of Thrones” is nominated for Best Show for the third year in a row, along with Best Hero for Maisie Williams as Arya Stark. Also, Arya Stark was nominated for Best Fight vs the White Walkers and Best Performance in a Show for Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen. Avengers: Endgame” followed suit, with nominations for Best Movie and Best Fight with Robert Downey Jr. getting a Best Hero nod, and Josh Brolin getting nominated for Best Villain. The MTV Movie & TV Awards will be hosted by Zachary Levi, who is also nominated for his starring role in “Shazam!” This year’s ceremony will air June 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.
