Champions League: What Ronaldo did after Juventus’ 2-1 loss to Ajax

Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo looked devastated at full-time after the Old Lady crashed out of the Champions League to Ajax on Tuesday night. Ajax defeated the Italian giants 2-1 away in Turin and ended the Serie A team’s dreams of winning the Champions League in Ronaldo’s first season at the club. Ajax’s 19-year-old captain Matthijs de Ligt scored from a header from the corner in the 67th minute to give the Dutch side a 3-2 aggregate win. They reached the last four for the first time since 1996/97. Former Real Madrid star, Ronaldo, who was aiming for a fourth successive Champions League title put Juventus ahead in the 28th minute with a typically emphatic header, his sixth goal of the competition. But Donny van de Beek levelled six minutes later. Ajax swept Juventus aside in the second half with wave after wave of fluid attacks. And at full-time Ronaldo could be seen looking to the crowd and the TV screens as he made his way down the tunnel. The Portugal National team captain was also seen looking dejected as he sat on the floor. As the Ajax players celebrated their incredible win with their fans, the Portuguese made a swift exit on a night to forget for the Old Lady.
