The head of the commission said employers have been lamenting that degree holders are not employable and equal to the task The executive secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Abubakar Rasheed, has said that the commission is presently reviewing school’s curriculum to upgrade the quality of the system and make graduates globally relevant.

            The head of the commission made this known at the 7th graduation occasion of Veritas University, Abuja where more than 141 students graduated, Daily Trust reports, a letter from our Editor-in-Chief Bayo Olupohunda Rasheed said that the government was worried about the complaints by employers that graduates from universities are not employable enough. Rasheed who was represented by Chris Maiyaki, said the commission is working on re-positioning the university system with a committee led by a former executive secretary of NUC, Professor Peter Okebukola. At the convocation, 10 graduates got first class degree while 46 out of the 141 graduands got second class upper.
