BREAKING: June 12 approved as new date for Democracy Day celebration

Lawmakers of the House of Representatives on Thursday, approved the replacement of May 29 as the date of the country's Democracy Day celebration with June 12.

Their approval of the came following consideration of a report on a bill seeking to amend the Public Holidays Act 2004, which recommended the approval of amendments to three clauses ‎in the
Act.
