In an effort to avoid a potential ban from football, Nigeria's government on Monday said it recognises Amaju Pinnick as the President of the Nigerian Football Federation.
This was disclosed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Laolu Akande in tweet on his official twitter handle.
Akande intimated that the current position of government has been conveyed to the world football governing body while adding that the 'FG is upholding NFF treaty obligations to FIFA'
