Tickets for Arsene Wenger's final home match in charge of Arsenal are being sold for £1,800 -- a game which will include the return of former players and commemorative T-shirts for fans to wear in their match against Burnley.
Wenger, who is ending his 22-year Arsenal reign at the end of the season, will take to the home dugout as manager for the last time on Sunday when Burnley travel to the Emirates Stadium.
The match is a Category C fixture -- the lowest of three tiers in Arsenal's league ticketing structure -- with prices ranging from £26 to £38.50.
The club's website crashed in the moments after Wenger announced he would be leaving last month as Arsenal fans scurried to buy the final remaining tickets for the historic match, and supporters without a ticket now face having to spend well over the odds to see the 68-year-old Frenchman's last home game.
Ticketbis, a secondary ticketing online market, claims to have a range of seats available from £143 to £1,800.
The most expensive tickets are being advertised in the lower tier of the East and West Stands at the Emirates Stadium, which would have been sold to supporters for just £28.50. The ticketing website also claims prices for the match are increasing.
Tickets for Sir Alex Ferguson's final match in charge of Manchester United cost a reported £3,000.
Arsenal says there will be a postmatch celebration after Sunday's match at the Emirates where fans and former players "will be coming together to thank Arsene for being the most successful manager in our history."
A number of former Arsenal players who have made at least 100 appearances for the club have reportedly been invited to take part in the celebrations, which will be in addition to the traditional lap of honour the team makes after their final home game of the season.
Retiring captain Per Mertesacker, women's captain Alex Scott and kit man Vic Akers -- who has been at the club for more than 30 years and helped form the Arsenal Ladies team in 1987 -- will also be given a send-off.
Arsenal say they are also handing out a commemorative T-shirt to all fans who attend the game, "which we are asking everyone to wear during the match, in order to create a special atmosphere for Arsene's last home match as our manager."
There will also be a tribute book set up in the club shop where fans can write down their favourite memories of Wenger.
However, the fans' mood could still depend on whether Arsenal advance to the Europa League final or get knocked out by Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their semifinal on Thursday.
Arsenal are having their worst Premier League season under Wenger, with the Gunners limping toward a sixth-place finish -- and they could still be overtaken by seventh-place Burnley if they lose on Sunday.
