Yet another Nigerian killed in South Africa

No end in sight for xenophobic attacks in South Africa as yet another Nigerian has been burnt to death in Rustenburg, South Africa after his vehicle was set ablaze by a mob in the country.

Speaking to Channels Television, President of the Nigerian Union in South Africa, Mr Adetola Olubajo, has confirmed the incident which is the latest in the series of attacks on Nigerians residing in the the country.

The South African police also confirmed the attack in a statement, saying there had been two separate incidents where two vehicles were burnt by unknown suspects.

The statement added that the victim of one of the incidents sustained serious injuries and later died in hospital.

Statistically, at least 117 Nigerians have been killed in in South Africa as a result of xenophobic attacks since February. Less than 10 days ago, a Nigerian, ThankGod Okoro, was murdered in Florida West Rand in Johannesburg.
