Suspected Herdsmen Kill 25 Persons In Plateau Attack

A fresh attack in Plateau state by suspected herdsmen, resulted in the death of at least 25 persons, including 19 men, 3 women and 3 children.

The killings happened in Dundu village, Kwall District in Bassa on Monday and it comes just days after 4 persons were killed in the state's capital, Jos.

According to Daniel Kadzia, the village head, the attackers invaded the village  and within few minutes carried out their operation, on noticing that the youths and the men had gone for mining at that time of the day.

Laraba Yohanna, the mother of two of the children that were killed while
narrating the sad event to Channels Television said the children were outside playing under the moonlight, before the attack occurred.

During a visit to Plateau state, President Muhammadu Buhari assured the public of the Federal Government's commitment to ensure Peace Building Agency has the support it needs, in its effort to arrest the vicious cycle of violence.

The President, however, urged Nigerians to spread the message of peace to their subjects, insisting that the government alone cannot guarantee peace and order in the country.
