Manchester City forward and England international Raheem Sterling scored a stoppage time winner against Southampton to help his side secure a 12th consecutive league win this season.

City survived a few scares but still managed to dominate the game in typical fashion. After going into halftime goalless, much of the second half had a 1-1 scoreline which looked certain to be the final result until the goal from Sterling.

Before this game, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was full of praise for Raheem Sterling praising his overall contributions to the team this season.

"It is not just about scoring goals, he is now strong and keeping the ball. I am impressed but he is still 22 years old, he can do a lot of things to improve and if he wants to learn we will be there to help him."

City have now won twelve consecutive games in the Premier League this season feeling more speculations that they might be able to go the entire season unbeaten.
