Manchester United's midfielder Nemanja Matic has disclosed that he has nothing to prove to Chelsea supporters and called for them to show him respect ahead of his side's visit to Stamford Bridge this weekend.
Matic who has been in top form for United since his pre season move has reiterated that while he was at Chelsea, he always put in 100% of work and hopes that the fans would respect him for that.
‘I feel when I played there, I showed them my quality,' said Matic. ‘We won the title twice and also two cups, so I don't have to prove to them anything. I just have to prove something to my new club.. ‘I don't know [what recepetion I'll get]. When I played there I always gave 100%. I'm sure they respect that but if not I don't really care.'
Magic who has started most of United's games this season is widely expected to be in the starting 11 on Sunday when both sides meet.
