United Nations Security Council to meet after North Korea ballistic missile test

- UN Security Council to hold meeting after North Korea's latest missile test.

- Meeting was called for by the U.S. and Japan.
Following North Korea's ballistic missile test that flew past Japan, the United Nations Security Council is now set to hold another meeting.

This meeting which is due to be held later on Friday, comes as a result of fresh calls from the United States and Japan.

The U.S. has consistently insisted that only "sanctions that bite" will be enough to make North Korea change their ways and proposes a complete oil embargo on the country.

With regards to an oil embargo, both Russia and China are of the opinion that vital sectors such as healthcare would be badly hit if their oil supply was cut off.

North Korea imports most of it's oil from China and a tiny amount from Russia.

Meanwhile, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (The North's official name) issued threats on Thursday to the U.S. and Japan, suggesting that it would sink Japan and turn the U.S. into ashes and darkness.

President Donald Trump has also vowed not to allow North Korea develop a weapon capable of launching missiles into mainland U.S.A.
