- Liverpool to appeal Mane's red card.

- Klopp claims that reviews shows Mane had his eyes on the ball and didn't see the goalkeeper coming out.
As the busy footballing season commences, Liverpool who are on a course of playing 6 games over the next 18 days are already aiming to appeal the red card issued to their Star man Sadio Mane in the premier league defeat to Manchester City.

Sadio mane, 25, was issued a red card for lifting his foot too high in a challenge against City's Brazillian goalkeeper Ederson.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp indicated after the match that upon reviewing the incident, it was clear that Mane had no malicious intent and kept his eyes on the ball throughout the incident.

He said: "So it never works? It would be another waste of time, like the game today. Not sure [if they will appeal]."

"I think everyone knows he didn't see the goalie. There was not one second he looks on the goalie. He just wanted to get the ball as soon as possible. Hopefully the goalie is not seriously injured.

"[Sadio] is very, very upset. We couldn't keep him -- he was shocked about the situation. I am sure also about the decision."
