Pope Francis has arrived in Columbia on Thursday on a five-day visit.

According to reports from major news agencies, "Pope Francis has been greeted by thousands on his arrival for a five-day visit in Colombia. He is there to support the government's peace process with the former FARC armed group as well as the ELN, which accepted a ceasefire this week."

The Colombian government also signed a peace accord with the FARC last year, ending half a century of war. But the country remains deeply divided over the terms of the deal.
