- These Rohingya Muslims have sought refuge from persistent violence in Myanmar over the past seven years.
The past seven years has seen around 40,000 Rohingya muslims cross over to nearby India to seek refuge from the never ending violence in Myanmar.
However, this is likely to change going forward as India seeks to develop stronger ties with Myanmar.
According to reports from Reuters and Al jazeera, the Indian Government is now threatening to deport these 40,000 Rohingya Muslims in its bid to enhance relations with Myanmar.
