- October 28th is the date, Cardiff is the location.

- Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs), Age 27 VS Pulev (25-1, 13 KOs), Age 36.
Anthony Joshua, the Unified heavyweight world titleholder will, as expected, make his next title defense against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev on Oct. 28 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Speaking regarding the fight, Joshua said "Oct. 28 can't come soon enough," Joshua said. "I have been eager to get back in the ring since Wembley, and now we are confirmed and ready. I'll be locked away focusing on fight No. 20 for the next eight weeks. I am excited to experience the atmosphere in a sold-out Principality Stadium and aim to give the fans a spectacular night."

Anthony Joshua's boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn had previously stated that the announcement on his client's next fight would be released on Tuesday but Pulev broke the news before him.

"Anthony is a formidable opponent," Pulev said in translated comments. "We will not hug and hold. We will not run. We will stand and fight. His style fits mine perfectly, and in boxing, styles make fights. My preparation will be very intense, and I will be perfectly ready when I enter the ring so that he will have no chance to beat me."

On Tuesday, Hearn did indeed make the fight official.

"I'm delighted that we will be in Cardiff at the magnificent Principality Stadium for the next step of the AJ journey," Hearn said. "Nearly 80,000 will gather on Oct. 28 to create another unforgettable night of boxing. Anthony will meet his mandatory challenger, [IBF] No. 1-ranked Kubrat Pulev, and the card will be stacked with world championship action, domestic title fights and the very best young stars in the game. Get ready for the next episode from the biggest star in world boxing."

The right to challenge Anthony Joshua to a fight was previously Wladmir Klitschko's after his defeat earlier this year but this automatically fell to Pulev after the former's retirement.

Pulev (25-1, 13 KOs), 36, of Bulgaria has suffered his only defeat in the hands Klitschko in a fifth round knockout while Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs), 27, has recorded no defeat with a knockout in every single one of his 19 fights.
