Seven Killed in Air raid on Houthi checkpoint in Yemen

Five people have been confirmed killed as a result of an air raid by the Saudi-led military coalition on the checkpoint of the Houthis outside the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.

According to Reuters and Al Jazeera, "Wednesday's bombing in the Masajed district, about 10km west of Sanaa, caused the car to veer into a nearby petrol station, setting it ablaze and complicating rescue efforts."

The Saudi-led military coalition has launched thousands of air raids against the armed Houthi group which controls Sanaa and much of Yemen's north since March 2015.

The ongoing Yemen crisis has already resulted in the death of around 10,000 people and injured about 40,000 already.
