In what was billed to be the most exciting and richest fight ever, Floyd "The Money" Mayweather has defeated Irish Fighter Conor McGregor after an exciting and impressive 10 rounds of fight.

40 years old Mayweather won the fight by virtue of a technical knockout.

This superfight featured Mayweather coming out of retirement to fight mixed martial artist Conor McGregor who was making his Pro Boxing Debut.

"Our game plan was to take our time, go to him and take him out in the end," Mayweather said. "I guaranteed everybody this fight wouldn't go the distance."

After the fight, McGregor went over and hugged Mayweather.

He looked somewhat relieved knowing that even though he lost, he had put in a good fight.

"I was a little fatigued," he said. "He was composed in there, that's what 50 pro fights can give you."

Mayweather also said he was looking to retire and not going to fight again.

"This is my last fight for sure. 50-0 sounds good, I'm looking forward to going into the Hall of Fame," Mayweather said. "I picked the best dance partner to do it with."

Mayweather improved to 50-0 to surpass heavyweight great Rocky Marciano's 49-0 record for most wins without a loss or draw.
