Obiano Emerges APGA Flagbearer in Anambra, without primaries.

- Obiano declared sole APGA candidate for upcoming elections.

Governor Obiano has emerged APGA's candidate for the upcoming governorship elections in Anambra State. The decision was reached during a special Primary election in Awka where delegates voted using a yes or no system.

Alhaji Sani Shinkafi who was the returning officer at the Primary provided a statement regarding the decision.

He said, "The total accredited delegates for the election was 1092, consisting of statutory and adhoc delegates.

"Yes' votes were 1,070, while No' votes cast were 11. Invalid votes cast were 11 too, while five persons did not cast their votes. With this, Chief Willie Obiano stands elected as the candidate of our party."

Meanwhile, this decision has faced criticism from both members and none members of APGA and some have considered it "undemocratic".
