Deziani to forefeit $37.5 Banana Island mansion - Court order

- Court orders forefeiture of Deziani's $37.5 million to FG.

- This is a permanent order.

- Also forefeits an additional $2.7 million.

Since the beginning of the Buhari/Osinbajo led administration, Deziani Alison-Madueke has continued to make headlines mostly for corruption charges, her outrageous real estate investments and also her battle with cancer.

In a High Court judgement passed by Justice Chuka Obiozor in the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, the judge ordered that in addition to the $37.5 million mansion, the sum of $2,740,197.96 and N84,537,840.70 should also be forefeited to the federal government.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in their case against Deziani, claimed that the property was bought in 2013 for around $37.5 million using readily available cash that was transferred directly from her residence in Abuja and paid into the seller's First Bank account in Abuja.

This permanent order of forefeiture would be considered a step in the right direction for the anti graft agency as they continue to build up cases against other high profile individuals and organisations.
