PDP supporters protest state governorship election results, demand cancellation of the election

Supporters loyal to the Peoples Democratic Party have stormed the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Benin, Edo state capital, Accusing the electoral body of bias, the protesters demanded a cancellation of the governorship election.

 Security personnel have blocked the entrance of INEC headquarters in the state to prevent the protesters from accessing the premises.

There were chants from supporters of the PDP accusing the governor of rigging and threatened to resist every act of rigging and called for a total cancellation of the elction.
