iger Delta militants involved in sabotaging oil facilities and members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, clamouring for secession, have been warned to desist from such acts or be dealt with, by the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Abayomi Olonishakin.
Addressing newsmen in Makurdi on Tuesday after declaring open the 2nd and 3rd quarter of the Chief of Army Staff Conference, Olonishakin vowed that those agitators would be dealt with if they did not desist.
Quoting from ex-Head of State, retired Gen. Yakubu Gowon, the CDS said: "To keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done.
"We will use all that we have on any person or group that goes contrary to this. We are using this opportunity to appeal and even warn all those, who are responsible for sabotage of critical infrastructure to channel their energy to developmental issues for the nation.
"And even those, who are also clamouring for secession, I think I want to advise them to channel their effort toward the development of the nation.
"The indivisibility of this nation is sacrosanct just like the president – Muhammadu Buhari said, and we in the military are poised to ensure that is achieved.''
