Boko Haram Islamists behead village chief and his son in latest strike near Chibok

 Boko Haram terrorists beheaded a village chief and his son in Borno State on Monday (19 September).

The terrorist group also killed six civilians travelling in a military-protected convoy near Maiduguri.

The two latest attacks came a day after 8 Christians were killed while returning from their Sunday church service in Kwamjilari village.

The first attack on Monday happened in the earrly hours of the day when the terrorists came to the village of Tallari and beheaded the village chief Ba' Lawan and his son. They also set ablaze several homes in the village, including that of the village chief.

Two villagers were also killed and many others were injured.

In the other attack the same day, the Islamic militant group targeted a convoy travelling through the highway south of Maiduguri, a Boko Haram stronghold.

Three soldiers who were part of the military protection were injured in the attack, army spokesman Col Sani Kukasheka Usman said.
