Be patient with Buhari- Amosun urges Nigerians

After performing the eid prayers at the Lantoro Muslim prayer ground in Abeokuta on Minday, the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, pleaded with Nigerians to be patient with the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that the economic hardship will soon be over.
According to Amosun, it would be a Herculean task to correct what had gone wrong for many years.
The Governor added that the country was already on the right track to recovery.
He said, "I urge them (Nigerians) to continue with their support for the government and I know that Nigeria will be better for all of us at the end of the day.
"My message to Nigerians is that we are on the right track. We do not expect that things that had been bad for years will just be normalised in one or two years. No. Even four years is not enough. Eight years is not even enough to fix the rot in government. That is why whatever you do within two terms; let other fresh hands come in.
"With where we have found ourselves, with where we are coming from, it appears things are very tough now. It's like we are almost getting to the corner now; but once we just take the bend, we are going to be on the right path and we will all get there."
Amosun said he believed that tough times would bring the best out of the people, adding that that was why "all of us are thinking out of the box. We know that money is hard to come by these days and that is why we have to work very hard."
