Novak Djokovic into US Open semi-finals after Jo-Wilfried Tsonga retires

The defending US Open champion Novak Djokovic is through to the semifinals of the tournament after his opponent Jo- Wilfried Tsonga retired with an apparent knee Injury.
The 29-year old Serb was leading Tsonga on Arthur Ashe Stadium when the Frenchman said he could no longer carry on after one hour and 23 minutes of play.
This is the 3rd time in 5 matches that the world No.1 has been given a walk over at this competition. Djokovic now progresses into his 10th straight US Open semifinal.
Djokovic will next face Gael Monfils who advanced earlier with a victory over compatriot Lucas Pouille.
