Man Allegedly Impregnates, Kills Daughter to Cover up

A 50-year-old man, simply identified as Williams has allegedly killed his 14-year-old daughter after impregnating her in Emure Ekiti, headquarters of Emure Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
The man, said to be from Ile onisa quarters, in the town according to the residents had put the girl in the family way after the discovery that he has been having illicit affairs with her.
Williams' wife was said to have moved out of his house with four of his children some years ago living the girl behind to be preparing food for him.
When it became clear to everybody that the girl was developing a protruding belly and no one was seen with her except her father, everyone began to point accusing fingers at her father, Williams since nobody was known with her except her father.
One Anike, who is a resident of the community told journalists in Ado Ekiti, that the man after several attempts to take the life of the girl through poisoning failed, he allegedly took her to his farm in Aba Iso area of the community, where he strangle her to death.
"We are sure Williams killed his pregnant girl so as to cover up his crime because the girl's pregnancy was already becoming very conspicuous and everyone knew that it was her father who slept with her.
" It took us a while before we were able to apprehend Williams and hand him over to the law enforcement agents in the town".
Another source close to the town alleged that the suspect was apprehended while digging grave where he was planning to bury the remains of the girl.
When contacted, the Ekiti State Command Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Alberto Adeyemi said the matter has not been officially reported to the police.
