Boko Haram is ready to negotiate with FG and release Chibok girls- Aisha Wakil

The woman believed to have close ties with the Boko Haram leadership, Barrister Aisha Wakil, has revealed that the terrorist group is now ready for talks with the Federal Government on the fate of the missing Chibok girls, The Nation reports.
Wakil who was recently declared wanted (alongside 2 other journalists) by the Nigerian Army over links to Boko Haram, and then cleared, has said that she had been on the neck of the Boko Haram leaders over the fate of the girls.
According to her, the Boko Haram leadership have honored her request to dialogue with the Government and release the girls and other captives.
Speaking in a phone interview with The Nation, Wakil said she expected the Boko Haram leaders to come out and discuss with the Government now.
In her words: "Since I came back, I have been on their neck. They have now agreed to come out and discuss with the Government and bring back the girls.
"I am for the Chibok girls and all the captives. They are ready for peace. This is what they told me."
Hajiya Aisha Wakil was not forthcoming on the imminent release of the girls, whose abduction sparked a global outrage.
Speaking further, she said: "I think they might post some information on YouTube within 24 hours."
