ANC loses Jo'Burg for the first time in 22years

South Africa's ruling party, the African National Congress, ANC, has lost control of the country's largest city and economic centre, Johannesburg, for the first time in 22 years.
This comes after the city council elected as Mayor, Herman Mashaba From the opposition Democratic Alliance (DA).
Although it is still the largest party in the country, the ANC lost its council majority in local elections, after running the city since the end of apartheid in 1994.
The party has also lost control of the capital, Pretoria and Cape Town.
Of the six biggest cities in South Africa, Durban-  seen as a stronghold for South African President, Jacob Zuma- was the only place where the ANC won an outright majority.
