They are all thieves- OBJ lashes out again at lawmakers

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, took a step further on Wednesday, in his bashing of Nigerian lawmakers.
Obasanjo was speaking in a telepone interview with PremiumTimes, on allegations of budget padding by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and other principal members of the House.
The allegations were brought against them by the sacked Chairman of the House Committee on Apprppriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin.
The former President stated again that in light of recent events, he had been vindicated on his 2012 comment that the National Assembly as an institution was filled with rogues and armed robbers.
Referring again to the lawmakers as "thieves", Obasanjo urged President Muhammadu Buhari not to release funds for constituency projects.
He said, "That is criminal and they should be held accountable for it. There should be a showdown between what is right and what is wrong. After such a showdown, what is right will definitely prevail and the criminals will be put to shame. They are the contractors, the jury, the judge and prosecutors.
They put the projects in the budgets and they do the projects by themselves or through contractors they nominate. Where is integrity? Where is honesty? Who supervises the job? Who ascertains that the job has been done? It is not in their place to execute projects. It is illegal. They are thieves. I have always held the view that they are thieves, can you all see it now?"
