Brazilian Senate votes to move forward with Rousseff impeachment trial

The Brazilian Senate has voted 59-21 in favor of going ahead with an impeachment trial for suspended President, Dilma Rousseff.
The impeachment trial which is slated to begin around August 25th, could see Ms. Rousseff completely removed from office.
The trial is expected to last for 5 days and round-up with a judgment vote.
The Senate suspended Rousseff, the South American nation's first female President, on May 12 over accusations of illegal accounting practices and fiddling the budget to mask a slumping economy.
Since Ms. Rousseff's suspension, her deeply unpopular Vice President Michel Temer has served as Brazil's interim leader, as the nation struggles to emerge from its worst recession in decades.
If she is removed from office, Mr Temer, who presided over the Olympics opening ceremony, will become the President until the next elections in 2018.
