Ekiti Doctors begin 3-day warning strike today

Doctors at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti, will on Monday begin a three-day warning strike, over the failure of the management to pay full salaries to their members, among other issues.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Medical and Dental Consultants' Association of Nigeria, Ekiti branch, Dr Timothy Olajide, who said the warning strike became inevitable after the expiration of a 14-day ultimatum issued to the management.
Briefing newsmen in Ado Ekiti, Olajide said, "The doctors also demanded immediate payment of the shortfall in the salary of members for the month of July, 2016.
"We regret any inconvenience this inevitable action may cause our patients."
