Buhari appoints BBOG co-founder, Hadiza Usman, as new NPA boss

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Mrs Hadiza Usman as the Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA.
She takes over from Alhaji Habib Abdullahi, who was reinstated as the NPA's MD by the President in August 2015.
Mrs Usman shot to the limelight when she joined forces with former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, in 2014, to form the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) Organization, after over 200 Chibok schoolgirls were abducted by Boko Haram terrorists.
Together with Ezekwesili, they brought the plight of the girls to the International Community.
She previously served as Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai.
Her appointment took effect on Monday, July 11, along with other appointments just approved by President Buhari.
