Maradonna urges Messi not to quit National Team

Argentine football legend and worldwide football phenomena, Diego Maradona on Monday, appealed to Lionel Messi not to follow through on his vow to quit the National Team after its defeat in the just concluded Copa America competition.
Messi had stated that he was quitting from International play, after he failed to score a penalty at the Copa America final match against Chile over the weekend. Chile went on to win the match.
An online newspaper, La Nacion, has quoted Maradonna as saying: "Messi has to stay in the national team... He will go to Russia (at the 2018 World Cup) in form to be world champion."
Maradonna, a former Coach of the Argentine National Team, has also previously won the FIFA World Cup trophy in 1986, as a player on the team.
