Autopsy tests run on the body of the late Prince have revealed that the musician died of drug (opioids) overdose.
The Associated Press said test results showed the 57-year-old had the drugs in his system on the day he was found dead in his home.
In the weeks following his death, it was widely reported that the musician and composer had been abusing painkillers. Prince was reportedly scheduled to meet with an addiction specialist doctor on April 22. He died on April 21.
