Gov. Wike appoints Joseph Yobo Senior Special Assistant

Former Super Eagles Captain, Joseph Yobo has been appointed a Senior Special Assistant on Sports Development to the Governor of River State, Nyesom Wike.
A statement by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, noted that the appointment takes immediate effect.
This is coming less than a week after the former Everton skipper was honoured with a testimonial match at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium, Port Harcourt.
The event which was attended by ex-international from across Africa including former African Footballer of the year, Samuel Eto'o, Austin Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu,Vincent Enyeama, was boosted with financial support from the Rivers State government.
