Adesina: Buhari Didn't Take Any Loan from China

The presidency yesterday said President Muhammadu Buhari did not take loan from China during his week long trip to China as generally alleged but brought investment in order to chart new frontiers on strengthening economic relationship.

This was made known by the Special Adviser to  President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicicty, Mr Femi Adesina yesterday in Lagos during a live television programme monitored in Abuja. He was speaking on the recent visit by the President China.

Adesina said the trip was to renew Nigeria's relation with China and discuss possible ways that would bring about investment.
He said government was a continuum and the present administration in the country was touching areas aimed at bringing about economic reformation, which according to him was going to benefit Nigerians.

"Nigeria is not negotiating any loan with China but is discussing ways of investment that will open up many areas that can be of benefit for all the masses"
Mr Adesina said the President's trip was not to negotiate fresh loan as people may think. He assured that there will be enough gains from the trip when it starts yielding results,

According to him, investment was never done in a rush but when completed would bring about the desire need that Nigerians will appreciate.
He assured that the ongoing project, which mostly are roads and rail construction, sighting Lagos-Calabar rail line, Abuja-Kaduna line as major ones to be given priority.

The Spokesperson listed agriculture, power, housing and solid minerals as major areas that the government has more interest towards giving life line.
On the 2016 Budget which has been generating many reactions among Nigerians, he explained that the president was studying it in order to ensure that there are no grey areas after he signs it.
